Water transports nutrients or carry waste from our body. It is needed to replace the water we lose through our urine, sweat and bodily excretions. The amount lost daily usually adds up to 8 to 10 cups, however, some is replaced by the vegetables, fruits and other foods we may eat.
This leaves approximately 5 glasses however this number can change depending on the atmosphere. The hotter it is, the more water we would need to drink.
Drinking extra water does have its benefits, one being the increase in metabolism promoting weight loss.
